SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 2023 FROM 9:30AM – 12:00PM

Once again, all toys collected will be generously donated to The Salvation Army's Toy Mountain. As we mark this special 5th anniversary, all financial contributions will be directed towards supporting the crucial work of Crohn's & Colitis Canada.

For the Atyeo/Fick family, Crohn's & Colitis Canada holds profound significance. In February 2018, Kelly's life took a challenging turn after years of grappling with persistent stomach issues, as she was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease – a condition that had remained undetected for far too long. Tragically, this disease played a role in her passing, as her weakened immune system made it difficult to fend off illnesses. Our unwavering mission is to contribute to finding a cure so that others can lead lives free from the grip of this devastating condition.

About Kelly

This is Kelly. A shining example of kindness and beauty in the world. Tragically, we lost her on March 5, 2019. For those who hadn't had the privilege of knowing her, Kelly embodied the essence of a compassionate and lovely soul. In February 2018, after years of enduring stomach issues, Kelly received a diagnosis that had eluded detection for far too long – Crohn's Disease.

Crohn's Disease is a challenging condition that often requires immunosuppressive treatments. These treatments make the body vulnerable to infections, including common ones like colds and the flu. Tragically, a particularly aggressive bacterium found its way into her weakened immune system, and her body couldn't fight off the infection.

We want to share Kelly's story, not to define her by her illness, but to celebrate her resilience and her commitment to living life to the fullest. Kelly's life was centered around the principles of health and well-being. With an undergraduate degree in Applied Science & Human Nutrition and a Masters degree in Nutrition Communication, she co-founded a company called LiveWell Marketing. Kelly embodied the spirit of a determined female entrepreneur who built a life around her passions.

Kelly was an inspiration, advocating for a holistic approach to a healthy life that included nurturing the body, mind, and spirit. She understood that not everyone is fortunate enough to enjoy good health, which led her to start a holiday toy drive. Kelly firmly believed in doing good for others, and her infectious positivity, boundless enthusiasm, and unwavering determination inspired those around her.

As her family, we continue to be inspired by Kelly's incredible acts of kindness, and we are committed to carrying on her legacy of goodwill.

Support Our Cause

To honour Kelly for our 5th year all financial donations we collect will go to Crohn's & Colitis Canada. We are proud that this is our 5th year of raising money for various causes.

Crohn's and Colitis Canada is a prominent non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals affected by Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. These chronic inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) can cause significant challenges in the lives of those who suffer from them. Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis are characterized by inflammation of the digestive tract, leading to a range of symptoms, including abdominal pain, diarrhea, and fatigue.

Crohn's and Colitis Canada plays a crucial role in the fight against IBD by providing support, education, and advocacy for individuals living with these conditions. The organization's mission is to find cures for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis and improve the lives of those affected by IBD.
